South Pacific Honeymoons 2022
After all the work, worry and wonder of your wedding it will finally be time for your and your new love to get away and enjoy time for just the two of you. Your honeymoon has arrived. But where will you go? What is it that you want to do on your special time together. The choices used to be very simple but today couples have an amazing array of places to go, things to do, and sights to see. Honeymoons can be simple and inexpensive or exotic and “over the top.” They can be a simple overnight or if your able - stay for weeks or months. The South Pacific is about as romantic as one can find with their thatch-roof bungalows, some built on stilts over a lagoon, with a glass panel in its floor for viewing fish that swim below you, and steps leading into the warm waters. Ahhh, can you feel the tropical breeze?
Perhaps no place is more romantic (and remote) that the many islands of the South Pacific. Brides.com lists the 10 Best Resorts in the South Pacific. And what a list it is! The overwater bungalows offer privacy and complete access to early morning and late evening water access in a setting that just can’t be beat. Some have glass floors so you feel like you are walking on the water. The food is amazing and has a french flair. There are plenty of activities as well to include diving, snorkeling, jet skiing, golf, kayaking and just walking on the beach.
Trip Advisor has a great listing of all inclusive honeymoon resprts. This is a great place to see rates for many of the various destination honeymoon spots and begin dreaming and planning. Another great resource for planning is Frommer’s listings of the most romantic hotels in the South Pacific.
Many of the hotels and resorts are all inclusive so you won’t have to worry about a thing. Activites, meals, accomadations and even airfare can be included. Most menus change daily so you also will have the opportunity to have new and exciting culinery experiences without leaving your resort.
Another suggestion is to find an adults or couples only resort. Not all are, so make sure you know if the resort you are interested in caters to families, adults only, honeymooners, or even singles. You might not want to share a romantic beach with lots of small children or unsuperviser teenagers. While all-inclusives adult only in the South Pacific might be rare , the options that do exist are luxurious and romantic. These 12 all-inclusive resorts are intimate and highly personalized. Say hello to our favorites and are recommended by Islands.
The Islands of the South Pacific are lands of long walks on deserted beaches, moonlit swims in warm, clear water lagoons, and intimate moments. They do come at a cost though and some serious planning both in time and effort are required. The average cost from the USA is Airfare is a large expense ($800 -$5,000 economy) and over the water bungalows can run up to $26.000 for a week. That can be a budget buster for most couples. Lowering the cost to the South Pacific (let’s choose Bora Bora for example) can be done by choosing a time that is not high season (December through March) for flights and by staying in a standard hotel room rather that a bungalow. Also instead of two weeks, choose 5-7 days.
What ever destination you choose for your honeymoon just know that the best part if the time you get to spend together laughing, dreaming and planning the rest of your life together.
